Gas Cylinder
difficult-to-process items
In Shibukawa City, Gunma Prefecture, gas cylinders (such as propane gas cylinders) are not collected as regular municipal waste. For aerosol cans and cassette cylinders (small household gas cylinders), after using up the contents, you can place them in a non-combustible waste designated bag without puncturing them. However, large gas cylinders (such as propane gas cylinders) require separate disposal. Propane Gas Cylinder Disposal Method: - Contact the gas company (owner) listed on the cylinder directly to request pickup. - Propane gas cylinders are treated as the property of the gas company; proper disposal is the responsibility of the gas company. - Pickup fees are generally around 4,000 yen. Disposal Method for Spray Cans and Cassette Gas Cylinders (Reference): - Completely use up the contents - Place in a designated non-combustible waste bag without puncturing - Separate from other non-combustible waste like metals or glass and place in a separate bag For detailed confirmation or any uncertainties, please contact the Living Environment Section, Environmental Forest Division, Citizen Environment Department, Shibukawa City Office directly (Phone: 0279-22-2114).
