Gas Cylinder
Disposal methods vary depending on the type.
Disposal methods for gas cylinders vary by type: 1. For cassette cylinders (portable gas cylinders): - Sorting category: Aerosol cans (collected twice monthly) - Disposal method: - Empty completely → Place in a clear or semi-transparent white bag → Separate from "non-combustible waste" and place out on "non-combustible waste" collection day - Note: If contents remain, attach a note saying "Contents remain" to the bag before disposal. - Do not puncture (absolutely do not do this due to explosion risk). 2. For propane gas cylinders (LP gas cylinders, etc.): - Recycling category: Not collected. - Disposal method: Contact the retailer or manufacturer. - The city does not collect or dispose of these. 3. Other large gas cylinders (fire extinguishers, scuba tanks, medical oxygen cylinders, etc.): - Disposal method: Consult the place of purchase or manufacturer Contact: Jōyō City Hall, Citizen Environment Department, Environmental Division, Waste Reduction Promotion Section (Sanitation Center) Phone: 0774-53-1400 Fax: 0774-53-1402
