Recyclable waste (cans and bottles); Burnable waste (e.g., used-up gas lighters); Bring-in items (items with remaining contents must be taken to the Clean Center)
Empty (no contents remaining) gas canisters and spray cans should be placed at the garbage station on "Cans & Bottles" collection day. Unused items (with remaining contents) can be brought to the first floor of the Clean Center Administration Building for free collection and proper disposal (no reservation required). Empty gas lighters completely before placing them out on "burnable waste collection day." When emptying the contents, do so outdoors in a well-ventilated area, and strictly avoid open flames. Empty the gas by following the product instructions, using a gas release cap, or inverting the canister and pressing it firmly against the ground. For spray cans containing paint, spray the contents onto a cloth or newspaper until empty; dispose of the cloth on "burnable waste collection day." Commercial waste must be handled by licensed general waste collection and transport companies. Follow safety precautions (avoid open flames, work outdoors, etc.).
