Gas Cylinder
Items that cannot be placed at the collection point (flammable items)
・Handling spray cans and cassette gas cylinders (small household containers): Always use up the contents completely. Place them in a clear bag without puncturing them. Dispose of them on the monthly collection day (same day as landfill waste). Always perform this task outdoors in a well-ventilated area away from open flames. If you cannot use up the contents, spray them onto newspaper or similar material to finish them, or contact the manufacturer listed on the product. Use the method indicated on the product or a gas release cap to vent the gas. Do not mix them with bottles/cans in collection trucks (compression can cause fires). ・Important note for cassette gas cylinders: The basic rule is to burn them completely in devices like cassette stoves. Since they do not have gas release caps, use them up in the device before disposal. • Standard gas cylinders (high-pressure/large) are classified as "flammable materials" and cannot be placed at collection points. Since municipal processing facilities cannot handle them, contact a general waste collection/transportation company, a disposal company, or the Environmental Department's Circular Economy Promotion Division. • Contact (Office): Environmental Department, Circular Economy Promotion Division, Separate Collection Section Phone: 023-641-1212 (Main) Extensions 686, 694, 695, 696 Fax 023-624-9928 Email [email protected] ・Important Notes: Puncturing is prohibited (as it causes fires). Collection occurs once a month. Work outdoors and strictly avoid open flames. If unsure about an item, confirm with the city.
